Memon Youth Association, Leicester Award distribution ceremony

     Sports Tournament held in Leicester:

     

On Friday 06th December, 2013, award distribution ceremony was held at Leicester Memon Centre. Trophies distributed to winners and runners up and medal as consolation prize to all participants. Memon Youth Association, Leicester has successfully organised this tournament. In Award distribution ceremony, Councillors from Leicester City Council were also present. All trophies were distributed by councillors, Chairman and Vice Chairman of Leicester Memon Centre. 

Highlights of Sport Tournament:

     

Overall we had 10 events, Record number of 522 entries from the youngest 6 year old to over 60 year olds.

Proud of the work behind the scenes. Planning started after Ramadhan. Good team work by all of the organisers.

Take opportunity to thank all who helped. A Lot of hard work from the volunteers, people do not realise how much work and planning goes into the events, without these people we would not be here.

A Lot of new volunteers and people taking pride in furthering the memon identity.

Spirit was Friendly and all had a good time, enjoyed but still competitive. We had a number of new people who have never entered before. We want to encourage as many new people as we can. Nice to see some new faces

Congratulate all of the winners and all of those taking part. Message for parents to encourage kids to take part in sports and recreation in a safe environment.
