Khatmul Quran and Collection of Zakat al-Fitr at Memon Centre

Khatmul-Quran (Completion of Quran in Taraweeh) and Sehri – Tuesday 22nd July 2014

السلام عليكم – Assalamu Alaikum (Peace be upon you).

الحمد لله Alhamdulillah this Tuesday 22nd July 2014, after namaz e Taraweeh, you are all invited to the Memon Association Leicester (MemonCentre), for Khatmul-Quran (Completion of Quran in Taraweeh).

After the Tarweeh short bayan will be held by Maulana Muhammed Sindhi and after that presents will be awarded to the Huffaz, that this year have prayed at the Centre and after that food will be served for all the present guest.

Come along and make your presence count.

Collection of Zakat al-Fitr (fitrana)

السلام عليكم – Assalamu Alaikum (Peace be upon you).

Zakat al-Fitr (fitrana) is charity given to the poor at the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. £2.50 is given for each member of the household – including children, adults, servants etc – before the day of Eid.

On behalf of our young and old, free men and slaves, we used to take out during Allaah’s Messenger’s (upon whom be God’s peace and blessings) lifetime one Sa` of grain, cheese or raisins”. [Sahih Muslim - English transl. vol. 2, p. 469, no. 2155][2]

This year like every year at The Memon Association Leicester (MemonCentre) we collect Zakat al-Fitr (fitrana) and responsibly pass it on to the needy.
