Assalamo – Allaikum,
Welcome to the first edition of our joint newsletter.

FOOTBALL

You will be pleased to know that since November 2013 we have secured facilities at St Marks Academy, Mitcham to play football every Friday from 7.30 – 9.30pm. The facility is free for under 18’s and we welcome both Girls and Boys to join us every Friday.
Since commencing this outdoor football facility we have secured a regular qualified coach who is teaching our 5-12 year olds to improve on their football, as well as their health and social education.
Our aspiration is that we can build upon this and to set up a South London based Memon Football league for different age groups who can then play teams from other leagues.

We would like to thank those Parents that have already committed to sending their children and are aware of our commitment to serve your community on a voluntary basis.

Please join us and send you children every Friday where they will learn how to play football at no cost and meet other children from the Memon community. A regular trained coach is facilitating the training/development.

Cards
You will be pleased to learn that after many years of consideration we organised a “Patha” evening/morning at the Memon Hall during December 2013 which was very successful. We would also like to thank those that participated in making it a success and we are confident that another cards evening will be arranged over the next coming months. To supplement this facility we intend to have food and beverages at the next event.

Pool Tournament
We shall be arranging a POOL Tournament at RILEYS in Croydon during the month of March. The tournament will be open for 15yr Olds – elders. More information will be available through the Memon Events website (www.memonevents.co.uk) by next week. A popular tournament which includes several games of pool, food, drink and lots of fun.

Ladies Events
We are planning Ladies Evenings (Young and Old) in the coming weeks. You may have noticed that we have circulated a questionnaire to Ladies asking them what they would like to be doing at this social event. It is envisaged that the Social Gathering etc, will be held at the Memon Hall. (Time and days to be confirmed)

Please contact via our website www.memonevents.co.uk if you have any queries, questions or suggestions.
